Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Neutralization. Other applications not tested.

Neutralization: Neutralizes TGF-b activity in vitro inhibition assay of CCL/64 cell growth and also neutralize the growth promoting action of TGF-b in the NRK-49F colony forming assays. The effect of microinjection of this MAb into one blastomere of two cell stage Xenopus embryos indicated that this antibody was able to neutralize effectively the bioactivity of TGF-b in vivo. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

TGF-b from human platelets.

Supplied as liquid in PBS, pH 7.0.

Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.

Western Blot demonstrated reactivity to either dimeric (25kD) or monomeric (12.5kD) molecules of TGF-b under non-reducing and reducing condition, respectively. Recognizes both human platelet-derived and recombinant TGF-b in enzyme-linked in ELISA.
