| TGFb1 (transforming growth factor-beta1) is a family of multifunctional 25kD proteins. TGFb1 was originally identified for its ability to induce the growth of normal rodent fibroblasts in soft agar. It is now known that TGFb1 is a potent growth inhibitor of many normal and transformed cell lines. It regulates normal cell growth, development and tissue remodeling following injury. TGFb1 is produced as latent high molecular weight complexes. The activation of latent TGFb1 is an important step in the regulation of its action. | | | Catalog # | T8250-13A | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
