| Cardiac troponin C belongs to the EF-hand superfamily of calcium-binding proteins and plays an essential role in the regulation of muscle contraction and relaxation. | | | Catalog # | T8665-20F | | Three troponin I genes have been identified in vertebrates that encode the isoforms expressed in adult cardiac muscle (TNNI3), slow skeletal muscle (TNNI1) and fast skeletal muscle (TNNI2), respectively. Skeletal isoforms of Troponin I were suggested to be used as markers of acute and chronic skeletal muscle injuries. | | Dimers and Aggregates | 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis. | | Endotoxin | 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug) of human TnI. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | Source | E. coli | | Purity | 95% by RP-HPLC, FPLC, or reducing/non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stain.
