TRPC4 (or short transient receptor potential channel, TRP) contains 6 transmembrane domains, a pore region, a caveolin-binding domain and a PDZ binding domain at the C-terminus. It is a non-selective calcium permeant cation channel probably regulated by phosphatidylinositol second messengers via GPCRs or tyrosine kinases or depletion of internal calcium stores.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:32,000 Western Blot: 0.3-1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 4.75ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide C-KHAKEEDSSIDYD from an internal region (near C-terminus) of human TRPC4.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris-buffered saline, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human TRPC4. Species sequence homology: bovine, canine, mouse, porcine and rat.
