Soybean trypsin inhibitor (SBTI) is a reversible competitive inhibitor of trypsin and other trypsin-like proteases such as chymotrypsin, plasmin and plasma kallikrein. This presentation
of SBTI binds free trypsin tightly with high pH (4.5-8.0) and allows for a simple gradient to low pH (~2.5-3.0) for elution.1

Buffer0.1 M Tris; 0.05 M NaCl; 0.1% Sodium Azide; pH 7.5
Isoelectric Point4.5 (1,2)
Molecular Weight22 kDa (1,2)
This presentation immobilized SBTI is on an agarose resin via
coupling to primary amines. This creates an affinity resin with
specificity for a number of serine proteases. Detail as follows
-Resin MatixAffi-Gel 10
-Ligand Density1-2 mg/mL SBTI
-Binding Capacity1 mL resin binds > 2 mg plasmin
