Soybean trypsin inhibitor (SBTI) first crystallized by Kunitz (1945) is one of several such inhibitors found in soybeans. A single Arginine-Isoleucine bond is cleaved by trypsin; a covalent bimolecular complex of inhibitor and trypsin results. On dissociation either virginal or modified inhibitor appears.

Recommended Dilution	ELISA: 1:3000-1:15,000
	Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
