| Tyrosyl-DNA phosphodiesterase (TDP1) is a DNA repair enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of a phophodiester bond between a tyrosine residue and a DNA 3' phosphate. This protein is a member of the phospholipase D (PLD) superfamily and contains two PLD phosphodiesterase domains. Mutations in TDP1 are associated with the disease spinocerebellar ataxia with axonal neuropathy (SCAN1) by interfering with DNA transcription or by inducting apoptosis in postmitotic neurons. | | | Catalog # | T9248-80B | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2000 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG2b,k | | Clone No | 10C312 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied in liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.1% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Recombinant human TDP1 (1-298aa) purified from E. coli | | Specificity | Recognizes human TDP1 (1-298aa) | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
