UCK2 catalyzes the phosphorylation of uridine monophosphate to uridine diphosphate. This is the first step in the production of the pyrimidine nucleoside triphosphates required for RNA and DNA synthesis. In addition, an allele of this gene may play a role in mediating nonhumoral immunity to Haemophilus influenzae type B.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-1:250 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
