	UVM Modified Listeria Enrichment Broth is a modified formula developed by Donnelly and Baigent of the University of Vermont. Nalidixic acid (20mg/L) inhibits Gram negative microorganisms and acriflavine inhibits Gram positive bacteria. Esculin is utilized by Listeria monocytogenes.

Light beige, homogeneous, free flowing powder

Solubility
Greenish-yellow to yellow with faint bluish-green ring at the surface, very slightly opalescent, complete

pH	7.2 ± 0.2
