| Vancomycin is a glycopeptide antibiotic derived from Amycolatopsis orientalis that acts by inhibiting cell wall biosynthesis and altering the permeability of the bacterial cell membrane. Vancomycin is regarded as an antibiotic of last resort as in high doses it can be toxic to the ears and kidneys, whilst in low doses hypersensitivity reactions may occur. | | | Catalog # | V2050-02A | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA.
