| Human vascular endothelium cadherin is an endothelium-specific cadherin localized at the intercellular junctions. The antibody can be used to investigate the functional role of VE-cadherin. | | | Catalog # | V2109-52 | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot, Confocal microscopy and Functional applications. Not suitable for use in paraffin sections. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilutions | Immunohistochemistry (Frozen, Formalin or acetone-fixed): 1ug/ml Not suitable for use in paraffin sections. | | Western Blot: 1ug/ml | | Functional Applications: Interferes with VE-cadherin adhesion (reversible endothelium disruption). This effect mimics the transmigration of leukocytes or cancer cells through endothelium. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.3. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-258 of human VE-cadherin. | | Specificity | Recognizes human VE-cadherin. Interferes with VE-cadherin adhesion (reversible endothelium disruption), an effect which mimics the transmigration of leukocytes or cancer cells through endothelium. Species Crossreactivity: mouse, rat and bovine | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
