Clone Host Grade Applications
Polyclonal Rabbit Affinity Purified E B IH IC FC
Human vascular endothelium cadherin is an endothelium-specific cadherin localized at the intercellular junctions. The antibody can be used to investigate the functional role of VE-cadherin.
Catalog #V2109-52
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot, Confocal microscopy and Functional applications. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionsImmunohistochemistry (Frozen, Formalin or acetone-fixed): 1ug/ml. Not suitable for use in paraffin sections.
Western Blot: 1ug/ml
Functional Applications: Interferes with VE-cadherin adhesion (reversible endothelium disruption). This effect mimics the transmigration of leukocytes or cancer cells through endothelium.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Clone TypePolyclonal
FormSupplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.3.
PurityPurified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
ImmunogenRecombinant protein corresponding to aa1-258 of human VE-cadherin.
SpecificityRecognizes human VE-cadherin. Interferes with VE-cadherin adhesion (reversible endothelium disruption), an effect which mimics the transmigration of leukocytes or cancer cells through endothelium. Species Crossreactivity: mouse, rat and bovine.
