Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified E B
Vitronectin is a plasma glycoprotein that circulates in the blood. Vitronectin is circulating as a mixture of both 75kD and 65kD forms. Vitronectin is a major cell adhesive glycoprotein and is a common component of extracellular matrix and plasma. It competes effectively with other plasma proteins and is often involved in cell attachment, regulation of blood coagulation and immune responses. It has similar tissue distribution to fibronectin and also its integrin receptor recognizes fibronectin (2).
Catalog #V2200-15C
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionELISA: 1:15,000 Coat with vitronectin directly onto the microtiter well.
Western Blot: 1:25
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
HybridomaSp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

FormSupplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 500mM sodium chloride, 15mM sodium azide.
before the addition of glycerol to 40%.
PurityPurified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.
ImmunogenHuman vitronectin purified from plasma by heparin-affinity chromatography.
SpecificityRecognizes human vitronectin. There is no evidence for cross-reactivity with other connective tissue proteins (fibronectin, elastin, collagen, laminin). Species Crossreactivity: feline, canine, goat, bovine and to a lesser extent with equine. Binds nearly as well to native vitronectin as to denatured. Is a potent inhibitor of integrin-mediated cell adhesion to vitronectin and a moderate inhibitor of PAI-1 binding.
