| Catalog # | V3200-26A | | VZV is a member of the human herpes virus family which causes two distinct clinical manifestations | childhood chickenpox (Varicella) and shingles (Zoster). Varicella is the outcome of the primary infection with VZV, whereas, Zoster is the result of VZV reactivation from latently infected sensory ganglia which occurs predominantly in aging and immuno-suppressed individuals. | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Indirect immunofluorescence: Shows a nuclear staining pattern. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
