| VSIG2 (V-set and Ig domain-containing protein 2; also CTM and CT-like protein) is presumably a 50-60kD member of the CTX family of proteins. It shows expression in stomach and prostate by Northern blot, and likely participates in cell adhesion. Human VSIG2 precursor is 327aa in length. It is a type I transmembrane (glyco)protein that contains a 220aa extracellular domain (ECD) (aa24-243) and a 63aa cytoplasmic region. The ECD contains one V-type (aa24-137) and one C2-type Ig-like domain (aa144-233). One potential splice variant exists that shows a deletion of aa285-327. over aa 24-243, human VSIG2 is 85% aa identical to mouse VSIG2. | | | Catalog # | V4965-25A | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
