Cytokines and Growth Factors
Growth Factors stimulate cellular growth, proliferation and cellular differentiation and regulate a variety of cellular processes. Cytokines are also signaling molecules involved in cellular communication. They often activate and recruit immune cells to increase the system's response to a pathogen and are also involved in several developmental processes during embryogenesis.
