Label: Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) (Molecular Weight 390 daltons)
Absorption Wavelength: 495nm
Emission Wavelength: 528nm
Fluorochrome/Protein Ratio: 2.1 moles FITC per mole of Mouse IgG Fab
Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Immunofluorescence. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder is stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O prior to use. To avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot reconstituted stock solution and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Purity
Purified by delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography. IEP Assay shows a single precipitin arc against anti-fluorescein, anti-mouse IgG, anti-mouse IgG F(ab’)2 and anti-mouse serum. No reaction was observed against anti-mouse IgG F(c) or anti-papain.
Concentration
~1mg/ml (after reconstitution)
