4-1BB Ligand (4-1BBL/TNFSF9) is preferentially expressed by B cells, and is a ligand for CD137 (4-1BB ligand receptor/TNFRSF9). Interaction between 4-1BBL and its receptor acts as a co-stimulatory signal for T cell activation and expansion, and is involved in the generation of cytotoxic T cells and in the process of antigen presentation. Expression of 4-1BBL by a variety of carcinoma cells, suggests a role for 4-1BBL in tumor cell-T cell interactions. Source: Purified recombinant 4-1BBL expressed in E.coli Activity: Determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of IL-8 production by human PBMC. The ED50 for this effect is 5-10 ng/ml. Please note: Results may vary with PBMC donors. Applications: Suitable for use in Functional Assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Endotoxin: 1EU/ug. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at-20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with 200ul dH2O. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 19.5kD |
