Description: Mammals express seven distinct 14-3-3 isoforms (gamma, epsilon, beta, zeta, sigma, theta, tau) that form multiple homo- and hetero- dimers, thus rendering 14-3-3 as a key multifunctional regulatory molecule. 14-3-3 isomers have been implicated in several neurological disorders: for example isoforms gamma, epsilon and beta are expressed in the cerebrospinal fluid of Creutzfeldt-Jakob patients, but not patients suffering from other neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Jurkat Cell Lysate. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
