14-3-3 gamma (Protein Kinase C Inhibitor Protein 1, KCIP-1, YWHAG)
14.3.3 proteins are a family of small, widely expressed, highly conserved cytosolic proteins. 14.3.3 proteins bind to and influence the activities of a diverse group of molecules involved in signal transduction, cell cycle regulation and apoptosis, including Raf, PKC, Bad, Cbl, and c-Bcr. Interactions between 14.3.3 and target proteins are strongly influenced by the phosphorylation state of 14.3.3 and the target protein. Expression of 14.3.3-g is higher in cells from vascular smooth muscle, skeletal and heart muscle. In Alzheimer's disease and Down syndrome level of 14.3.3-g in brain increases significantly.

Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2h at RT
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
