|
Description: 14-3-3 z is a member of a conserved family of proteins that interact with hundreds of different proteins and thus mediate signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine-containing proteins. 14-3-3 z is localized mostly on dense granules and is secreted after platelet activation. The protein is highly abundant in brain. The protein act as an activators of tyrosine and tryptophan hydroxylases. Human 14-3-3 z gene is located on chromosome 8q23.1, which is close to a probable bipolar disorder susceptibility locus 8q24. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: NIH/3T3 cells Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
