Cep63 (Centrosomal Protein of 63kD, CEP63)
Centrosomal protein 63 serves an ATM and ATR substrate for spindle assembly activation following chromosomal breakage. It is shown that inactivation of the CEP63 gene in avian DT40 cells impairs spindle assembly and prevents ATM- and ATR-dependent effects on mitosis. Cep63 is also reported to bind to and recruit Cdk1 to centrosomes and is thought to be involved the regulation mitotoic entry, centrosome amplification, and genome maintentance.

Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
