Description: Human Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDGF) is a potent neurotrophic factor that supports the growth and survivability of nerve and glial cells. BDNF protein is a 27kD dimer, formed by two identical 119aa subunits held together by strong hydrophobic interactions. The antibody recognizes the mature form of BDNF at 14kD. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-4ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
