IL17A (Interleukin-17A, IL-17, IL-17A, Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated Antigen 8, CTLA-8, CTLA8, IL17) |
|
|
Description: IL-17 was identified from a CD4+ T cells DNA library. IL-17 can be induced from primary peripheral blood CD4+ T cells upon stimulation. The cytokine exhibits a high degree of aa identity with HVS13, an open reading frame from a T lymphotropic Herpesvirus saimiri and with murine CTLA8. Supernatant from cells transfected with IL-17 induced IL-16 and IL-18 production and enhanced the surface expression of the intracellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) in human fibroblasts. IL-17 is a disulfide-linked homodimer of two 31kD subunits, each containing 136aa residues. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 2-4ug/ml Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
