Description:
MAP1A and MAP1B are microtubule-associated proteins which mediate the physical interactions between microtubules and components of the cytoskeleton. MAP1A and MAP1B each consist of a heavy chain subunit and multiple light chain subunits. The protein encoded by this gene is one of the light chain subunits and can associate with either MAP1A or MAP1B. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunochistochemistry, Immunofluorescence amd Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: 1:25-1:200
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50 -1:100
Western Blot: 1:1,000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
