CELA2A, CT (CELA2A, ELA2A, Chymotrypsin-like elastase family member 2A, Elastase-2A) (Azide free) (HRP)
Description:
Elastases form a subfamily of serine proteases that hydrolyze many proteins in addition to elastin. Humans have six elastase genes which encode the structurally similar proteins elastase 1, 2, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B. Like most of the human elastases, elastase 2A is secreted from the pancreas as a zymogen. In other species, elastase 2A has been shown to preferentially cleave proteins after leucine, methionine, and phenylalanine residues.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA

Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:100-500

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.

Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
