SF2 is a member of the arginine/serine-rich splicing factor protein family and functions in both constitutive and alternative pre-mRNA splicing. It binds to pre-mRNA transcripts and components of the spliceosome, and it can either activate or repress splicing depending on the location of the pre-mRNA binding site. SF2's ability to activate splicing is regulated by phosphorylation and interactions with other splicing factor associated proteins (1).

Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:1000-10,000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100
Immunocytochemistry: 1:50-100
Immunoprecipitation: 1:10-100
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
