RPS6KB1 (STK14A, Ribosomal Protein S6 Kinase beta-1, 70kD Ribosomal Protein S6 Kinase 1, Ribosomal Protein S6 Kinase I, Serine/Threonine-protein Kinase 14A, p70 Ribosomal S6 Kinase alpha)
RPS6KB1 encodes a member of the RSK (ribosomal S6 kinase) family of serine/threonine kinases. This kinase contains 2 non-identical kinase catalytic domains and phosphorylates several residues of the S6 ribosomal protein. The kinase activity of this protein leads to an increase in protein synthesis and cell proliferation. Amplification of the region of DNA encoding this rotein and overexpression of this kinase are seen in some breast cancer cell lines.

Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunofluorescence: 10ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 0.5ug/ml

May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
