Nerve Growth Factor (NGF-b) is a neurotrophic factor related to BDNF, NT-3 and NT-4. NGF-b acts through its receptor b-NGFR, and is involved in the development and maintenance of the sensory and sympathetic nervous systems. NGF-b is also involved in the growth, differentiation and survival of B lymphocytes. Human, mouse and rat proteins show cross-reactivity.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
