Technical Data
Lipocalin 2 (HNL, NGAL, Neutrophil Gelatinase Associated Lipocalin, Oncogene 24p3, Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin precursor P25, alpha-2 microglobulin-related subunit of MMP-9)
Porcine neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL, also called lipocalin 2 or siderocalin) may, by analogy with its homologues in other mammalian species, be released from activated neutrophils in inflammation or infection, from certain epithelial cancers, and more dramatically, from renal tubular cells in response to ischemic or nephrotoxic injury.

Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: Forms an ELISA Sandwich with L2499-17G (as capture antibody)
Immunohistochemistry: Detects NGAL in paraffin-embedded sections in the cytoplasm of renal tubular cell from porcine.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Culture Medium:
RPMI 1640 with 10% fetal calf serum

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
