Control peptide for A0220-01K. Acetyl-Coenzyme A acetyltransferase 2 (ACAT2) is an enzyme involved in lipid metabolism. Patients with ACAT2 deficiency have shown severe mental retardation and hypotonus. The ACAT2 gene shows complementary overlapping with the 3 prime region of the TCP1 gene in both mouse and human. These genes are encoded on opposite strands of DNA, as well as in opposite transcriptional orientation. Source: Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa74 from mouse ACAT2. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Antibody Blocking. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
Source: Synthetic peptide Purity: Purified Concentration: ~0.5mg/ml Form: Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 1% BSA, 0.02% thimerosal, 50% glycerol. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
