ACAT1 (Acetoacetyl Coenzyme A thiolase, THIL, T2, MAT, ACAT, acetyl-Coenzyme A acetyltransferase 1, ACAT1) |
|
|
Description: This gene encodes a mitochondrially localized enzyme that catalyzes the reversible formation of acetoacetyl-CoA from two molecules of acetyl-CoA. Defects in this gene are associated with 3-ketothiolase deficiency, an inborn error of isoleucine catabolism characterized by urinary excretion of 2-methyl-3-hydroxybutyric acid, 2-methylacetoacetic acid, tiglylglycine, and butanone. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:2000 Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml ~45kD band observed in Human, Mouse and Rat Liver lysates (calculated MW of 45.2kD according to Human NP_000010.1 and 44.81kD to Mouse NP_659033.1). Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
