Technical Data
A0526-30
Acetylcholine, Conjugated
Description:
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested

Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:5000-1:10,000
Immunocytochemistry: 1:1000-1:5000 (Free floating PAP technique on rat cholinergic areas.).

Hybridoma:
Sp2/0 /AG14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.

Specificity
Using a conjugate Choline-Glutaric anhydride-Protein, antibody specificity was performed with an ELISA test by competition experiments with the following compounds :

Compound Cross-reactivity ratio (a)
Choline-GA-BSA    1
Choline-AA-BSA    1:500
Choline-SA-BSA 1:2500
Farnesol-BSA > 1:50,000
Retinoic acid-BSA > 1:50,000
Myristic acid-BSA > 1:50,000
Acetylcholine > 1:50,000
Choline > 1:50,000

(a) : Choline-GA-BSA concentration/unconjugated or conjugated compounds concentration at half displacement ;
GA = Glutaric anhydride, AA = Adipic acid, SA = Succinic acid,
BSA = Bovine Serum Albumin.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
