Description: Type I hair keratin is one of the two types of hair keratin. It is an acidic protein which heterodimerizes with type II hair keratins to form hair and nails. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:200. For enhancement of cortex staining, it is recommended to preincubate the fixed sections with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS for 1-5 minutes prior to first incubation step. Incubation time: 1 hour at RT Western Blot (ECL): 1:2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
