Acidic Hair Keratin, K38 (KRT38, Keratin 38 HA8, Hair keratin, type I Ha8, hHa8, HHA8, HKA8, K38, Keratin, type I cuticular Ha8, Keratin-38, KRTHA8, hHa8)
Description:
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections): 1:100. For enhanced cortex staining, preincubate fixed sections with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS for 1-5 min prior to first antibody incubation step. Suggested incubation time: 1hour at RT.
Western Blot: 1:1000 by ECL
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Serum
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.09% sodium azide, before the addition of glycerol to 40%.
Specificity:
Recognizes specifically human hair keratin hHa8 expressed starting from the middle cortex. Staining in the middle cortex appears highly heterogeneous. Species Crossreactivity: mouse
