Description: ADAM-17, CD156b, which is also known as CD156b, is expressed in a wide range of cells in culture. Its biological role is to convert the transmembrane trimeric form of TNF alpha to the soluble form. CD156 is also reported to process a number of other proteins, including L-selectin and TNF p75 receptor. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Hela lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
