Technical Data
ADAM 21 (Kuzbanian, KUZ, MADM, a Disintegrin and Metalloprotease 21)
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunhistochemistry and ELISA. Not suitable for Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot: 1:1000. 5% nonfat milk in PBS for blocking.
Variable sizes on gel expected, as there are several processed forms of the protein: 110kD for the precursor, 90kD at the MMP domain, and various uncharacterized smaller forms.
Immunohistochemistry: 1:100
Immunocytochemistry: 1:100 Tissues should be either fresh frozen or fixed in cold acetone. Tissues should be blocked in 10% Normal Goat serum in PBS. Antibody should be incubated in 10% Normal Goat Serum at a dilution of 1:200 and incubated 2 hours at RT or overnight at 4C. The antibody can be visualized by fluorescence.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Positive Control:
Testes extract or tissue

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
