Adenovirus Type 2 |
|
|
Description: Adenoviruses are medium-sized (90-100nm), nonenveloped (without an outer lipid bilayer) icosahedral viruses composed of a nucleocapsid and a double-stranded linear DNA genome. There are 55 described serotypes in humans, which are responsible for 5-10% of upper respiratory infections in children, and many infections in adults as well. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Neutralization. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: Dilute with buffer pH 7.5-8.0 to desired working volume. For extensive dilution, protein containing or other stabilizing medium should be used. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
