ADENOVIRUS TYPE 5 SOLUBLE ANTIGEN
1ml
Molecular Biology Storage: -20CShipping: Blue Ice
Adenovirus 5 belongs to Adenoviridae, a family of viruses with at least 51 serotypes that cause a variety of illnesses, mostly being upper respiratory tract infections. Adenovirus type 5 antigen is collected from both the cell and supernatant phases of tissue culture. The antigen is harvested by disrupting optimally infected monolayers in tissue culture medium. Cellular debris is removed by centrifugation.

The antigen preparation is inactivated by heat treatment at 54C for 2 hours. Inactivity is confirmed by growth on 293 cells for two weeks with no CPE seen.
