ARF5 (ADP-ribosylation factor 5)
Description:
ARF5 is a member of the human ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF) protein family. They are small guanine nucleotide-binding proteins that stimulate the ADP-ribosyltransferase activity of cholera toxin and play a role in vesicular trafficking and as activators of phospholipase D. ARF5 products include 6 ARF proteins and 11 ARF-like proteins and constitute 1 family of the RAS superfamily. The ARF proteins are categorized as class I (ARF1, ARF2,and ARF3), class II (ARF4 and ARF5) and class III (ARF6). The members of each class share a common gene organization (1).

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Flow cytometry. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot: 1:1000-1:10,000
Flow cytometry: 1:10-1:100
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
