Its main function is the regulation of the colloidal osmotic pressure of blood. ALB is the major zinc transporter in plasma; it typically binds about 80% of all plasma zinc.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
ELISA: 1:20,000-1:100,000
Western Blot: 1:2000- 1:10,000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000-1:5000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
