Albumin, Bovine Serum (BSA)
Description:
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunodiffusion. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Immunodiffusion: Neat
Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Purified by Ion Exchange chromatography.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in GBS, pH 7.4, 0.1% sodium azide, 0.1% EACA, 0.01% Benzamidine, 1mM EDTA.
Specificity:
Recognizes bovine serum albumin (BSA). Species Crossreactivity: Bovine. Does not crossreact with albumin from equine, guinea pig, porcine, canine, feline, human, rabbit, chicken, goat, mouse. The unconjugated antiserum has been tested, by Immunodiffusion, for inter-species reactivity against the following species sera. (10ul of undiluted antisera vs 10ul of species serum diluted 1:10. Well were 8.5mm apart, center-to-center).
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
