Amylase, Pancreatic (1,4-alpha-D-glucan Glucanohydrolase, Amy2, Pancreatic alpha-Amylase, PA)
Description:
Pancreatic amylase is a digestive enzyme secreted by pancreas into the intestine. It consists of a single polypeptide chain with a molecular weight of 54kD. Measurement of amylase concentrations in serum is a diagnostic test for various pancreatic disorders.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Indirect ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Indirect ELISA: 1-2ug/ml
Western Blot: 4ug/ml detects up to 20ng of coated antigen at ~54kD.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
