Description: APH1 is a multipass transmembrane protein that interacts with presenilin (see PSEN1; MIM 104311) and nicastrin (APH2; MIM 605254) as a functional component of the gamma-secretase complex. The gamma-secretase complex is required for the intramembrane proteolysis of a number of membrane proteins, including the amyloid-beta precursor protein (APP; MIM 104760) and Notch (MIM 190198). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:128,000 Western Blot: 0.05-0.1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
