AP2m1 (Adaptor-related Protein Complex 2 mu 1)
AP2M1 is a subunit of heterotetrameric coat assembly protein complex 2 (AP2), which belongs to the adaptor complex medium subunit family. AP2 is composed of two large adaptins (alpha-type subunit AP2A1, or AP2A2, and beta-type subunit AP2B1), one medium adaptin (mu-type subunit AP2M1), and a small adaptin (sigma-type subunit AP2S1). The AP2 complex is part of the protein coat linking clathrin to receptors in coated vesicles. Clathrin-associated protein complexes are believed to interact with the cytoplasmic tails of membrane proteins so that they can be selected and concentrated.

Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 0.05-0.2ug/ml
Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
