Assembly Polypeptides (AP), also known as adaptors, co-assemble with clathrin during the formation of clathrin coated membranes. AP2 adaptors are associated with the endocytic clathrin coated vesicles at the plasma membrane. The AP2 adaptor is composed of four subunits which includes alpha- and beta-adaptin.

Suitable for use in Western Blot . Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot:. 2.0-4.0ug/ml, Human alpha adaptin (isoform #1) has a predicted length of 977 residues and MW of 108kD.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS (pH 7.4) to concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. Aliquot and store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
