Arrestin 3, Retinal (ARR3, X-Arrestin) |
|
|
Description: Beta-arrestin 1 is a member of the arrestin family, which has been implicated in mediating the desensitization and internalization of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR). Beta-arrestin 1 is constitutively phosphorylated by Erk1/2 at serine 412 of the C-terminus and localized in the cytosol. When recruited to the plasma membrane after agonist stimulation of the beta2-adrenergic receptors, beta-arrestin 1 is rapidly dephosphorylated. This dephosphorylation is an essential step of beta-arrestin 1-mediated receptor endocytosis, but it is not required for receptor desensitization. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
