Ascomycin is a macrocyclic lactone closely related to fujimycin and rapamycin. It is isolated from several species in the genus Streptomyces and was first reported in 1988. Ascomycin exhibits limited potent antifungal activity but has found considerable utility as an immunosuppressant.

Storage and Stability:

For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
