AXL (Tyrosine-protein Kinase Receptor UFO, AXL Oncogene, UFO) |
|
|
Description: Axl, an Axl type tyrosine kinase, is characterized by an extracellular domain resembling cell adhesion molecules and an intracellular conserved tyrosine kinase domain. Axl has been reported to induce cell proliferation and transformation, and is important in the vasculature functions. Expression of AXL has been seen in many cancers, including those of the lung, breast, stomach, thyroid, liver, and more. Two protein isoforms of Axl have been documented. It has been suggested that Gas6/Axl signaling may impact on the response of blood vessels to injury, thereby contributing to the development of atherosclerosis and/or restenosis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 Immunofluorescence: 1:200-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
