Technical Data
B0003-05B
Bacillus anthracis LF (Lethal Factor) (Anthrax)
Description:
Anthrax toxin plays a major role in the pathogenesis of anthrax. Virulent strains of Bacillus anthracis produce a complex exotoxin with 3 distinct antigenic components: the edema factor (EF), the protective antigen or binding domain (PA), and the lethal factor (LF).

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Hybridoma:
Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.

Antibody Pair Recommendations:
Use B0003-05B as the capture antibody pair for sandwich immunoassays with B0003-05A as the detection antibody.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, with 0.1% sodium azide, before the addiition of glycerol to 40%.
Specificity:
Recognizes lethal factor antigen of Bacillus anthracis. Does not crossreact with protective antigen of B. anthracis, Y. pestis, F. tularensis or Toxoplasma gondii.
