Source: Recombinant corresponding to 153aa from human BAFF expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~17kD Endotoxin: ~0.1ng/ug Biological Activity: ED50=5-10ng/ml, determined by the dose dependent stimulation of IL-8 production by human PBMCs. Please note that this biological activity may vary with each PBMC donor. The biological activity was also determined in a mouse splenocyte survival assay. The ED50 for this assay is 0.5 - 2.0 µg/mL. BAFF is a member of the TNF ligand superfamily, which serves as a costimulator of B cell proliferation and function. This recombinant protein corresponds to the TNF-like portion of BAFF’s extracellular domain. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: ~17kD |
Source: E. coli. Purity: ~95% (SDS PAGE, HPLC) Concentration: Not determined Form: Lyophilized from 5 mM Tris, pH 8.0, plus 3 mM NaCl. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O to 0.1-1mg/ml.
